Pro-bono volunteering Pro-bono work is embedded in the culture of TransUnion’s Legal Department — with a dedicated Pro-Bono Committee that seeks to connect our legal and compliance associates to volunteering opportunities. In 2021, our Legal and Compliance department focused on advancing fairness and equity in the communities we serve, providing free legal services to low-income clients in partnership with organizations such as the City Bar Justice Center (a New York-based non-profit organization focused on increasing access to justice for people struggling with poverty and systemic socioeconomic barriers), and Legal Aid Chicago which provides an array of free legal services to people living in poverty in and around Chicago. In addition, in late 2021, the TransUnion Legal Department in the US became a signatory of The Corporate Pro-Bono Challenge — pledging to strive to have 50% of the US-based Legal Department participate in pro-bono work during 2022.
